Thii Hayqwtun means “Big Fire” which is Maynard’s traditional name. Our name is both a teaching and a promise — a reminder that when creativity, culture, and purpose come together, they spark something powerful.
Founded in partnership with renowned Coast Salish and Kwakwaka’wakw Artist Maynard Johnny Jr., Thii Hayqwtun House of Design is where contemporary fashion meets ancestral brilliance. Every piece merges Maynard’s bold, flowing forms with modern silhouettes, creating wearable art that honours stories carried since time immemorial.
Thii Hayqwtun is more than a clothing line — it is a modern-day fire, a place where art, fashion, and purpose ignite. Through our designs, we honour Indigenous resurgence, and celebrate the power of self-expression.
